Pampered POMS Rescue

Zuko​ is bigger male pom, approx five years old, who is looking a new home. We don't know much about his past, as he was handed to a woman in a parking lot about two weeks before coming to rescue. He is a gentle giant at 18 pounds.  He loves cuddles and pets, and is ready to meet his forever humans!

Gracie is 2 years old and 8.8 lbs. She was given up because her owner couldn't keep her anymore for health reasons. She is shy at first but loves to play with her toys. When she gets to know you she will jump into your lap. She is not fond of other female dogs at first meeting. Healthy and ready for a new home. Fill out an application prior to contacting us.

Foxy Lee is only 5 moths old. Her owner got really sick and they couldn't keep her. She needs a retired person who can teach her everything. Another small dog to play with would be good. A fenced yard is a bonus! Fill out an application.

Lexi is only 9 months old. She is a big girl, at about 18 lbs. Her owner had an older dog that didn't like her. She is happy and loves attention. Fill out an application first. 

Betty Bear is 7 years old. Been with the same owner since she was a puppy. They had two children and couldn't take care of her anymore. She needs to be someone's  #1 priority. She needs a lot of attention. Not a fan of small children. A retried person would be best. She just got spayed and had a mammary tumor removed along with blood work and microchip. At some point she may need a dental but its not urgent. At ten pounds she is a bit chunky but healthy! Her hair is high maintenance and beautiful when grown out but this time she had to be shaved. Sophee  is  7 years old. Her owner went to assisted living. Sophee is very overweight and needs someone who can get her active and be strict about diet to loose weight. She is at 15 lbs and should be 8 or 10 lbs. She has had 3 leg surgeries and gets around quite well despite her little body being so obese. After weight loss she will have a happy future. She loves all people. Doesn't care for other dogs so much. She lived with a very young pom and never bonded with her. I believe the puppy was too much for her. She would rather be the only dog OR with an older stable dog. She had to be shaved because her hair was terribly matted. Fill out an application before meeting her. Rose  is about five years old. She came from a huge breeder facility. Living in a cage having puppies all of her life. She needs someone to teach her how to be a cherished pet. She needs to go outside every hour. Please fill out an application if your interested. No shipping of pets from us. If you are a long distance away, you must drive to get her. She would benefit from other small dogs. Very scared. MUST have a fenced yard that she cannot get out. 

LIlly is about 8 years old. She came from a large breeding facility.  She was shaved but her hair is growing out beautifully. She is happy and playful but needs a home with someone patient. Needs to go outside every  couple hours at first. A completely fenced yard is a MUST.  Local is preferred but adoptions long distance is possible if you drive to KC to get her. Murphy is a four year old POM, very social and loves everyone. He is about 20 lbs and needs to loose a couple pounds. He loves to run around the yard and play. Ok with other dogs and big kids too. Fill out an application if you are interested.

Bear is about 13 years old. His owner had health  issues and couldn't keep him. He is active and loving and is ok with other dogs. His owner did not let him out properly so he needs some help in the housetraining. Therefor someone needs to be home days. Fill out an application first before calling. Long distance adoptions are ok as long as you are willing to drive to KC MO go get him.

Rascal is about 8 years old. His owner had health issues that prevented her from caring for the dogs. She didn't let them out properly so he needs some help housetraining. He is smart, healthy, playful and active. Loves people. Loves to be held. Fill out an application first before calling. Long distance adoptions are allowed IF you drive to KC MO to get the dog.

Pandora 8 years old about 10 lbs. Scared at first but warms up nicely. Came from a breeder. Sweet girl. Good with other dogs, and older kids.

Taffy is 7 years old.She came from a breeder. She needs someone with puppy mill experience. Super scared. Needs patience and time. Big girl, about 12 lbs. Good with dogs and older kids.

Paisley is 7 years old. She came from a breeder. She is very scared at first.  She would do well in a multi-dog home. Knows how to use a doggie door. About ten lbs. She has really come around in a short time. She will sit in a lap for quite a long time. Its when you approach her is when she is fearful. Now she its down for me to pick her up. Sweet girl! She is almost housebroken and will also use a pad. She can be adopted long distance but she is not comfortable on a leash yet, so it must be within about 6  hours in a car.  A local foster would be great. 

Keiko is 11 years old, and only has one eye. She is full of life and loads of personality! Spayed but needs a dental. She was a breeder dog. Time to be cherished for the rest of her life.

She is 12 years old, and has no teeth so her tongue hangs out. She doesn't photograph well, as she gets scared and wont put her ears up. She was a breeder dog and just wants someone to love her for the rest of her days. Good with other small dogs and loves all people.

Chloe is a sweet senior pom who had a great home all of her life until now. Her Mom passed and the Dad went to assisted living. She is 14 and really healthy for her age. Loves to sit in your lap! She just needs a person to commit to her for the rest of her days. Gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. Please fill out an application first before calling.

Romeo is 7 years old and 7 pounds. He was a breeder dog and needs a loving home now. He has degenerative disc disease and needs meds the rest of his life. He is full of spunk and loves to be held. Good with other dogs. Great at car rides too. Fill out an application before meeting him.

COCO is 5 - 6 years old. Her owners couldn't keep her. The husband passed and the wife moved. She is accustomed to having someone home alot and we would like to pick a home where this is true. She is friendly and social and needs to be cherished the rest of her life. 

Cocoa is a little over a year old. She is social but not very confident. She needs someone who can spend lots of good quality time wth her. She loves to play with small dogs. Fill out an application before calling us. Local people are preferred. We do not ship or transport.

Mister has a past full of unknown details. What we do know is that someone found him abandoned on apartment balcony. They took him and ecountered problems with his behvior. He has no teeth on top and hadnt been neutered. They were going to put him down when another person rescued him. She said he did well but really needed to be neutered in order to help his behavior. She had other dogs and it wasnt a good fit long term.  He was very sweet with her most of the time. He had to be shaved becuase his hair was really mated. We took him and quickly got him to the vet. He is healing well and learning to behave better. He needs a person with experience with abused dogs. He needs lots of attention and training.  The vet estimated his age at 6 years. He is healthy and food motivated which helps in training.  Fill out an applictaion. He doesnt trust quick so a local person may need to visit him several times before adopting him.

Panda is about five, very submissive, sweet and needs someone to make her priority. She is on meds for seizures and very stable. Fill out an application.

Daisy is a chunk, she could stand to loose a few pounds. Very affectionate and outgoing. About 7, and on meds for seizures. Very healthy otherwise. Fill out an applicatiin.

Fiesta is almost 2. She was bought from a breeder ( puppy mill). The owner had her for 5 months and she was so scared she didnt even try to get her on  a leash. She is happy to run around a fenced yard and likes being around other dogs. She is fearful but never aggressive. With the right home she should blossom. Fill out an application.

ROCKY is only a year and a half old. Very much a puppy! He does well on a leash and is doing well with potty training. He was in a home with several other dogs, Just didnt get the attention he needed. Fill out an application first. 

Dozer is about 5 years old. He was given to the rescue because the family had a child allergic to dogs. He is a very good boy. Likes everyone. Good with other small dogs. He is overweight but doing well in the foster home to get healthy. Fill out an application to see if he is a good match.

Bowser is about 5 years old. He came from a family becuase of a child with allergies. He is doing well in a foster home. Loves to be held and prefers to be a lap dog. Fill out an application if you are interested.

Diamond is 6.5 years old.  She is a poodle. Her owner's landlord passed and the new person wont allow pets. She is healthy and playful and just wants to be someones pride and joy.

Penny is 2, almost 3 yrs old, very active, and social. She will fall asleep in your lap too. Needs a fenced yard and would like another small dog to play with. About 9 lbs.

Charming, aka Charlie is only 2, almost 3 and very much puppy like. He needs a fenced yard and someone home alot. He would like another small dog to play with.  A little bigger at 12 pounds. Loves everyone! Very social. Would do well with older kids.

SKYE is about 12 lbs, and may be mixed with aussie. She is about a year old. Her owner has a bigger dog who doesnt like her. She would be ok with small dogs. Sweet girl just needs a great home. A fenced yard would be neccesary but needs someone home alot.

Gucci came to us from a busy home with other dogs and small kids. She needs a quieter lifestyle. She had been hit by a car in december and her tail was injured (dislocated) and had to be amputated. She is all healed now and ready to meet new people. She is only 4 years old, and is good with many small dogs if theyre not too wild. NO KIDS. She would appreciate a fenced yard, she loves to wonder and explore. Fill out an application, and follow up.

Bounce is only a year old and needs a lot of attention. He is mostly pomeranian, maybe a bit of spaniel. He loves everyone and would be great for a family with teens. Fill out an application. He is about 14 pounds. Smart and eager to please. Loves to play with dogs that are his size.

Sir Charles is six years old. He came to us through a Veterinarian from Chicago. He was adopted to an elderly lady who didnt know much about dog behavior. When she had behavior issues she asked to euthanize him. The vet was determined to find him a rescue who would evaluate him and find the perfect home. He is a strong willed, protective, and very vocal pom who needs and demands lots of attention. He is exceptionally bright and knows many commands. He wants to please and be close to his owner all the time. He about ten pounds and has a gorgeous coat that requires lots of maintenance. He needs an owner that can bring out his potential and be consistent with his training. No small kids. He tolerates other dogs but really prefers to be the love of your life. Kansas City MO. Tangerine is 8 years old. She is from a large breeder ( pupy mill) and had never had much good touch from a human. She loves to be held and loved on. She is a bit bigger, about 16 pounds. Her happy place is with other dogs. Another dog in the home is a must! She will jump up and sit beside us now. She is calmer than the other poms and is doing very well.  Housebroken too.  Fill out an application and email it back to us.

Judy is a sweet little girl with lots of energy and spunk!  She came from a puppy mill but likes people, she is just shy when you try to pick her up. She is only 3 years old and can learn fast to be a pampered pup. She needs to be housebroke  and to walk on a leash. She is full of personality.

Spice lived her whole life in a cage having puppies for a breeder. She has been spayed, and had a dental. She is healthy and ready for a good life. She spent a while in a really good foster home trying to learn how to be a pampered pet. Learning housetraining and how to walk on a leash is huge for these dogs. Love and positive response is the only way. She has done well, and will continue to bloom in the right environment. She needs a quiet home with someone there most of time. A retired person or someone who works virtually is preferred. A fence is a MUST. She would benefit from another small dog in the home. Long distance adoption is possible IF the adopter is willing to drive here, and agree to bring her back if it doesn't work out.  She is shy but anyone can hold her. It takes awhile to bond but she has shown us a great ability to bond with her person.

Zorro is a little Pom whose owners couldn't keep because he didn't tolerate the kids. He loves to snuggle and being held by grown-ups. He is 5 years old, and about 6 pounds. He needs an experienced owner, as he has some guarding issues with food & toys. Just got neutered and housetraining with belly bands. He is used to being the only dog but may be ok with one older calm female. Click on the link for an application. Then call to see if you are a good match.

Lovey was in a breeding facility her whole life. At 7 she still has many years to be cherished like every Pom should. She is not housebroken so you must be home to teach her.. A fenced yard and loving humans are a must! Fill out an application to start the process of adopting any of our dogs.

Bear is a black Pom approximately 8 years old. About 12 lbs. He came from the shelter in Wichita, as his owner was arrested, and unable to claim him. He has some pain issues in a knee, and needs surgery but because he has the beginning stage of kidney disease, he is unable to have surgery. He loves attention, and  will play with some smaller dogs but doesn't tolerate rowdy dogs, as they might bump into him and cause him pain. Kids would not understand his issues, so he needs adults only. He is very special and needs a unique human to love him for the rest of his days. He is on a special diet, and has pain meds. If you are here in town, it is possible to foster him for a bit, to see if its a good match. Please consider adopting a senior or special needs dogs, they need you.

Foxy is the older one, darker cream color. She is 14 years old. Pearla, is her daughter and 12 years old. Their owner died and the extended family could not care for them. We have them in a foster home, and they both got surgery. They had hernias, a mammary tumor, along with much needed dentals. It was quite  a surgery for senior Poms so small. We wanted to get them felling as good as possible to live out their lives being cherished. They need a special soul to love them for however long they have left. A forever foster may  be the solution if we can find someone suitable locally. Fosters do the day to day care, and we provide everything including medical, food, grooming etc.

 Update. Jupiter was adopted. 

Jupiter is only about 2 years old, at about 18 lbs and full of energy. He loves to play with toys and with other dogs too.  His owners moved and could not take him. Call to meet him. You can fill out an application first if you would like.

Chai is a nine year old male Pom who was with his previous owner since he was a puppy. She lost her house and could not find affordable housing where she could take him. It’s heartbreaking when you must give up your furry friend you've had so long. He had never been neutered and needs a dental asap. We will take him to our vet for an exam and blood work to see if he is able to have this double surgery. He is used to being carried around going places with her and getting lots of attention. Our goal is to get him healthy and search for a home similar to his previous life to meet all of his needs. He is only about 4 lbs but full of vigor! Because of his size, small children or big dogs would not be a good idea. If you would like to apply for any of our dogs, please fill out an application first and tell us which one you might like. It’s common for you to meet several at the same appointment. Some may be in foster, but normally they are all with us at the grooming salon.

Suede is a nine year old Pom. His senior owner needed to move and he could not go with her. The extended family tried to find a suitable home but could not. He is a big boy, about 15 lbs, neutered and housebroken. He has been well cared for, and needs to be loved and cherished for the rest of his days. He has a short haircut in these pictures.

We have discovered that Suede needs a dental, and will need to do this before he can be adopted. We do have a great home waiting for him, after this procedure has been done. If you donate anything, this will help him start his new life. THANK YOU!

ugar is as sweet as her name!  Pretty girl was living outside and in a garage most of her life. She is said to be ten but looks much younger. Big girl had major surgery and is healing nicely. She hadn't been spayed so she had mammary tumors that had to be removed. She is very happy and affectionate to everyone she meets. She is larger, so older kids should be fine. This is Bonnie. She was purchased as a pure bred Pom. We think she may be mixed, but not sure. She is about 5 months old, very playful, and loves everyone!

She is about 5 lbs, but will get to about 8- 10, full grown. Needs help with all the things that come with owning a puppy, housebreaking and all.

Clyde is said to be a Pomeranian, but he may be mixed. He is 5 months old, and about 10 lbs. He may get to be 20 lbs full grown. He is playful and fun, and needs to be taught many things. Puppies take time, so understand we will be looking for the home who is best suited for this guy.  He is a sibling to Bonnie, but they can, and will be separated.
